This is a great thing

 Of course humor is not about periods but without them everything would just be one giant run on sentence thought after thought paragraph after paragraph chapter after chapter book after book and people reading out loud even under their breath would totally just pass out you know anyway i think i made my point about periods.

I could have made my point more subtlly by using punctuation other than periods, but i chose not to.

P.S. I think I may be in the running for dumbest intentional misunderstanding of anything for least comedic effect ever.
